To order or not to order?
I currently have a '14 335i AT that I bought CPO 2 years ago. It has 32k miles on it. Silver on red. Started life as a Sport Line and the orig owner had it converted to M Sport. I've never been happy with the color match on the front and rear and I recently wrecked the front driver side bumper and had the bumper replaced along with the hood. Again, not 100% happy with the panel fitment and color match. I also discovered passenger side front fender was repainted before I owned it. So long story short...it my eyes the car is "damaged goods" and I'm thinking about placing an order for a 340 manual.
I know I can save by buying pre-owned but the 6 speed inventory is slim to none or doesn't hit all the ticks. I really want 3 pedals again! What type of discount or haggling can I negotiate on an ordered car? I dont want to settle and get a color that I dont want or something else that creates buyers remorse, so that's why I'm thinking about an order. Is this a good time of year to place an order? Perhaps model year close out '17 deal? Thought or suggestions? Last edited by dcarp757; 12-11-2017 at 08:02 PM.. Reason: Typo |

End of year is one of the best times to lease or order. Very good incentives in December.
Here's the last page of the main pricing thread: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...842749&page=93 Recommend looking thru to see current incentives and what others are getting as offers. |

But If I can add something else, sticking to my desire of getting a 6MT pushed the seller to offer rebate after rebate until the final offer; which I accepted. I ended up with a 12% rebate on a close to fully loaded brand new 340; this rebate coupled with the 0.9 promotionnal rate pushed me to do the maths and realize how much a 6MT would cost me over an identical 8AT. And the 8AT won. I dont think I miss my 6MT at all actually. And I thought I was a purist.

Order it, man ...you only live once. Get what you want.
I ordered my 340i exactly the way I wanted it and I have zero regrets. Nada. It's a great feeling, and a great car. Charles
