M4 vs 992 Carrera S
Had the nice surprise of running into one of the new 911 Carrera S's. We did a few highway pulls and everything seemed about even. We then got to line up and ran from a dig to about 120-130. I was able to get out in front by about 1 car length (maybe slightly less) and we stayed that we the whole run. I've previously run 991 turbo's and they pulled slightly on me, so needless to say I am VERY impressed with how unbelievably fast these new Carrera S's are straight out of the box.
992 Carrera S was stock with PDK. My F82 has an upgraded CH, Stage 2 AA tune, ARM resonated DP's, removed secondary cats, and I'm on 600 mile old MP4S. |

similar weight, similar engines (turbo 3.0 liter 6 cylinders). similar results. just comes down to the tuning. impressive run by the 911 though. i'm guessing he jumped out from the dig and you reeled him back in.
those 992s can get nasty with a simple tune https://www.litchfieldmotors.com/por...-992-carreras/

The 992S is very capable. Porsche finally got their crap together to make a Carrera S more than a paper weight. I had a 991.1 Carrera GTS and would still have it if I had bought a 991.2 GTS first.
I am surprised you are only slightly being pulled by turbo cars. I have a 991.1 Turbo and it absolutely hammers my previous FBO F80. Stock 10.7 1/4’s. Are FBO F80’s in the 10’s now? They weren’t when I sold mine but maybe the tunes have them there now. |

Kick ass. The F80 platform is very capable! For the price point of the F80 it is a bargain. BMW really finally made the perfect M car. I am going to have to tune my turbo so am F80 doesn’t creep up on me!

The 992S runs around 11.1/11.2. The 991.2 Turbo S was capable of 10.5/10.6. |

For real... at the price point there really isn't anything that touches it (especially when purchasing used). The Mustang's and Camaro's are close in performance at the price point (including mods), but you have shit interiors and an unusable back seat and smaller trunk space as well as a much higher commonality.
