GTS STYLE HOOD Painted Long Beach Blue

For those who have GTS style hood on their M2 LONG BEACH BLUE only. How's good is your hood painted? Would you guys said atleast its 90% paint matched? My local paint shop said LBB is hard to paint match so he said just about 70%.
Thanks boyz

I had my parts of my car repainted after an accident and the paint match was perfect. Not sure if it matters but it was done at a BMW CCRC. It's not a hard color to match.

Paint naturally fades as it weathers through time. It's very very tough to perfectly match the weathering. Unless you're blending into other panels, there will always be a slight difference in the hue. I suggest shopping around and find a shop you're comfortable with and make you feel assured that you're in good hands. If a shop is apprehensive at the thought of painting a hood, perhaps find a shop that's excited to show you what they're capable of!

You'll probably want to blend into the fenders/front bumper for a more guaranteed and seamless result if going through a third party shop imo. However, most people won't notice if you only paint the hood unless the paint color is far off.

I’m really not trying to be mean here, or offend you, but it doesn’t… You can clearly tell the hood is significantly darker than the rest of the car.

FWIW I’ve always found the Suvneer hood to be good, but not perfect. Once you get everything lined up, the front leading edge is t perfectly round to follow the contours of the front bumper. All of them have this sorta flat spot in the middle. It’s on every single Suvneer hood for the M2 and once you see it, you cannot unsee it lol

Haha I figured you were going to say that. The hood picks up light differently because of the curves. In real life and to my eyes, it's spot on
