Ordered G20 330i M Sport Pro LCI
Only started looking seriously at BMW at the start of September.
Made a few enquiries after using a 318i as a Hire Car. For a well abused car it was still impressive - nothing lose, chassis felt rigid, steering was as good as I remembered from my 2001 525i (long gone), gearbox smooth, nice progressive brakes. Time to visit some local dealers. Had a good look round an LCI M340i (too much for me) - but I liked the new interior. Controversial - I know - sorry! The dual screen system in the 318i was okay - but the curved wide-screen moved the whole cabin forward for me. Spent ages on the BMW Configurator - trying various combinations of engines, options, colours, trims - you know, you've all been there before. The real surprise was when I asked about production / delivery times - expecting something next year, maybe February or March. My final configuration was entered - and out came a build date of week commencing 17th October - handover end of November I made a stipulation that the order would only proceed if a test drive of a very similar car with M Adaptive Suspension was favourable. That test drive occurred last Friday - and it was great Today I completed the order process for: - G20 330i M Sport Saloon LCI B48 Tanzanite Blue II with Oyster Vernasca Leather 19" 791 M Double-spoke Bicolour Jet Black Alloys M Sport Pro Pack M Sport Brakes (Blue Calipers)Visibility Pack Adaptive LED HeadlightsTechnology Pack Harman Kardon SurroundComfort Plus Pack Electric Memory SeatsElectric Glass Sunroof Now the waiting begins Regards, Mike. |

Update:
My Car is currently "At Sea" I think it is on the Drive Green Highway, due in Southampton 12-13th December Delivery to Dealer is estimated for 19th December Will I get it before Xmas Got a couple of longish drives planned over the Xmas / New Year holidays - to be honest, I'd rather get some short & varied run-in drives completed before being stuck on Motorways Regards, Mike. |
