Cerakote Brake Calipers?
Has anyone ever Cerakote'd their brake calipers? Going to do a caliper rebuild and thinking about Cerakote since my car does a lot of track duty.

I think Cerakote is a great idea. It is safe past 1200-2000 degrees (depending on the type of Cerakote and air versus oven baked application) and it is not affected by brake fluid, fuel, or oil. It’s also a thinner application than powdercoating, so one could argue it has less heat retaining properties.
Powdercoating is good too as long as you choose an epoxy formula that isn’t affected by brake fluid. The more standard polyester powders and paints hate brake fluid.
