So, I am sitting here with an MY23 430iX Gran Coupé in "Week 5" Scheduled for Production status.

They told me ZDH Package was not available first off, and put the M Suspension in instead. Now they tell me "no adaptive suspension" either. Driving Assistance Pro package not available for the MY23.

Combine that with the fact that the MY24 has Head Up Display in the ZPP premium package, and both AMS and ZDH (available 4/1) are available, I am almost certain that I want to cancel my order and reorder it as an MY24 (available 3/1) with all the bells and whistles including DAPP and PAP, ZDH (or M Suspension until 4/1).

My build, using the MY24 4x0i ordering and price guide:

Don't have to convince me. I lhad them add the Adaptive M Suspension when they told me that the Dynamic Handling (ZDH) was unavailable. I don't want my 430i with the stock M Sport suspension. If both are unable to be added, I am sure to cancel / reorder MY24.

HUD in my last four vehicles, almost seems like I'm going backwards without it. Same with Smart Cruise, only in the Driving Assistance Pro "DAP" package, although I hear all models will have Adaptive Cruise Control in MY24.

Back to the OP, the other $800 is Premium Package at $1800 instead of $1000. It now includes the HUD.

...and of course, today is a holiday here in the states, and my 430iX GC went from "Scheduled..." to "Production Started" (today's the day).

I guess I am too late to cancel? As it is they are not doing ZDH nor Adaptive M Suspension in the 4 series right now.

I think you can still cancel and just ask your dealer to put you on the list for the 2024. I have the adaptive m suspension on my 23 order for my 430i gc but if the 24 comes with head up display … not sure if I should reconsider too..

Your build has Adaptive Suspension? What week is your build? I was quoted 2-Feb ("Week 5"), but we're already in the queue.

I tried to have it added to mine, but they said "currently unavailable"...

Yeah! I added the adaptive m suspension and I was given week 4 so I’m really surprised you weren’t able to have that added on.. I did place my order back in December though (December 15th ish) so I wonder if that’s why? My car is already awaiting carrier assignment so idk if I should cancel it at this point or not. idrive8 is cool but I do like the way idrive7 sits in the car and the physical buttons and gear shift >< I’m just not sure if for me the changes are worth switching for but I think if I was you I would definitely cancel and switch to my24

Yeah, I just spec'd an M440i in rhe builder and I can get it with Adaptive M Suspension for $1500 less than my 430iX GC

I also used the 4 series MY24 pricing guide and it's only $650 more than an MY23 - but that adds HUD and wireless charging.

And it only adds 4 or 5 weeks - first build March 1st is in Week 9. I was quoted Week 5 (February 2nd) originally for build date.

We'll see. I meet with my salesperson and his manager tomorrow.

Yeah let me know what your sales person says. I asked mine and they said they dont have any build dates for the 24' year model just yet. Even when they do they wont have build dates till Q2~

Of course! They don't want you to cancel.

True, they don't have either yet, just the BMWNA build & pricing guides dated 1/9/2023 and distributed 1/10.

The MY24 build allocations for all 4 series vehicles will be for March build dates, so week 9 or 10. Have to be, they aren't making any more MY23 builds after week 8 or 9. Some vehicles on order will become MY24 vehicles just like last year.

Just wanted to be clear about the MY24 430iX GC variant, anyway, the HUD and wireless charging are both in ZPP, the Premium package.

I assume that means with digital key? Wireless charging is required for that. I also assume that means all 430i versions.

You can't get an M440i without the M Sport Differential that is included in the ZDH Dynamic Handling package on 430i models.
