Hello! 2019 m550i I have arm downpipes and bm3 stage 2, just doing passes on the street I’m at 3.4 0-60, curious on recommendations for xhp tune as far as what stage best pairs with bm3 stage 2? Thanks

I have a 2020 M550i with stock engine and BM3 Stage 1 tune, so not quite the same as you but here's what I made my best time with: xHP Stage 3, using custom launch control with launch torque +40% and torque scaling +15%. I also set 'torque reduction for upshifts' to -10% for the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. With some mild octane booster in the tank I got 3.26 seconds as my best time with that combo. The tech suggested also setting "override brake boost protection" to 5%, but the documentation cautions against that so I didn't try. Another suggestion I haven't tried is launching in second gear without launch control. In the other thread, choppedliver suggests launching with DSC off at about 2200 RPM.

Of course the ultimate is to try Drag Race mode but I would never do that in my own car.

Hopefully that helps as a possible starting point and things you can try. Let us know how it goes!

I usually refer to this page when deciding which mods I'm willing to try and what benefits they may provide. This is my daily driver so I don't want to take too many risks.

In the xHP thread I tried this but at 3000rpm that xHP allows....drumroll....

It wasn't any better than launch control. However, no spin, bog, go and my 0-100 and 1/4 mile were about the same as my launch control launches.Within a few 100s of a second. Certainly less harsh on the drivetrain and maybe with a tuned car faster.

My fastest run last night was at 2200rpm in 1st but no launch control. But as per that post the track was clean as I was the fourth car and the track got worse as the night wore on.

More testing when I tune in December.
