430 B46 Water pump vacuum controlled
My 430i has a water pump connected to a vacuum line and then to a Water Pump Electric Valve Part Number: 11748570591.
Item 10 and 11 in the attachment. Can anyone tell me if this is for warming up the engine faster? I found a thread re: Audi "Vacuum is supplied to the water pump which causes a round plastic piece inside the water pump to block the impeller and stop coolant flow. By doing this the engine warms up a lot quicker." |
