you said that you are going to buy the JBL speakers. i happen to know a sound engineer who used to work for sam ash and now works independently. if you are interested, i can give you his contact number. he is licensed to sell EV speakers but he should be able to get you the JBLs through Jim's music in Irvine or somewhere else.

let me know what you think so i can ask him. also, if you are open to suggestions he might be able to find you a better EV alternative for the same price. better alternative meaning possibly bigger horns and speakers, lighter weight, newer technology, pretty much higher spec. i have used EV speakers and we sent 26 units of them to my Church in the Philippines a few months ago with the help of my friend. this guy knows a lot too so he can answer many of your questions through his live sound, installations, and recording experience.
