Hey,
Just got this, I have been very busy, congrats on your 2016 M4, I am very excited for you, I couldn't wait and ordered mine in March, just picked up on 6/23, jealous you get OLED, lol, laser headlamps! So sick. So anyway.
I bought JB4 for my F36, it's the old enclosure, you're probably like mistype F36, believe it or not, it's the same control unit and harness, zero difference hardware wise, the only difference is the BIN file and now of course the enclosure. I don't have the USB for it but I know it works because I tested it on my 2015 M4, I only have one usb cable and it's installed in my car. If this freaks you out a little I understand, I am very technical so I love to test things out. The one thing about the new enclosure is it's metal may be aluminum. It was about 102 degrees the other day, my car threw a lot of codes, all heat related, I am thinking that where Burger says to mount with the zip ties to that aluminum brace allows heat transfer, heat isn't great for electronics, they will work but greatly reduces the life, JB4 engineered still looks like something you could build from Radioshack, it's only reading the input from your sensors plugged into it's harness and then modifying those signals and sending them back through it's harness plugged in to your harness. I am sure you know how this stuff works, again congrats on the car, what color did you get, in/out? BTW before you decide to get say an akrapovic, the M-Exhaust isn't bad, I have had it for about 2k now and it sounds a lot better than when I first got it, it's also made by akrapovic, only downside is from bmw it's a hack job to install, they cut the pipes and clamp :/
