03-22-2015 12:02 AMTheFranchiseHey, I'm in northern new jersey (bergen county)
It looks like you're looking for a pretty similar car to what i am looking for. i think you are looking for a m235xi with an msrp of 55k and i am looking for a m235xi with an msrp of 53,225 ish.
i see you're on this site at like 8pm posting stuff, so i think we may be able to help each other.
Here is what I have learned.
money factor should be 0.00129 with tier 1 credit. my credit is 710 and anything above 675 should qualify you for tier 1 credit. most dealers look to mark this up, and i just found out the current deal i am working on has a money factor of 0.00140, which is too high
most of the cars i am looking at are about 53,225 msrp.
i am shooting to get 6% off the msrp, so i will be leasing a car with a price of 49k or around there. it seems like getting 3% off the msrp is not enough and getting 7% off the msrp is basically impossible for a care this rare.
Have you found a good dealer in nj/nyc? i've been researching/looking for about 2 months, and currently everyone i've talked to has been a clown.
i put a deposit down on a car to get is transported from PA to the NJ dealer i am working with, and its ETA is monday (2 days from now). i will take a look at the car and finally get to see the lease agreement. since they won't send me the lease agreement before i go there, i will probably make them create everything and then ill take it home to review. if im cool with everything, ill probably put a deposit down on another car from another dealer to remove any leverage my "current" dealer has and then get them to reduce the price again.
once i get a better deal, i'll get the "other" deposit refunded. if they don't refund it, ill just do a chargeback on my credit card.
the dearler in nj i am working with currently are giving me a payment of $659 per month with $1800 total out of pocket (which is all fees and includes first month's payment). all of my taxes are included in my monthly payment.
i got them to waive the $750 transportation charge to get the car from PA to NJ.
36 months
12k miles
packages
-tech
-cold weather
-premium
-driver assist
harmon kardon sound system
let me know if you're working with someone cool right now... i would rather give my business to someone that isn't on the "junior varsity" team.
maybe we could even work together to buy/lease the cars together and use our leverage as a "group buy" to get better deals for each other. if we are both going to use the same dealer and they are going to sell 2 cars, we can create leverage and get a better price than either one of us could get alone.
let me know your thoughts.
thanks!
