How well do you know the United States?
Place the states on a map.
http://sickflash.com/usa_education.html The states come up randomly so the difficulty really depends on which ones you get first. 45/50- I got like all of the darn square midwest states wrong haha they all look the same 90% right average error 39 miles 279 seconds |
68%
Average Error: 68 miles Time: 187 seconds This is lame though, I knew where the general locations where. And that voice makes me want to strangle someone. |

it was a bitch to place the states in the middle when you didn't have any reference, easy to miss by a few miles!

I'd probably do better for a world map version of this.

I thought some would snap in place when you got pretty close so I got lazy with the really really obvious ones like Texas and it gave me an error.
Ended up with 42 out of 50 | 84% | 35 Miles | 225sec |
40 perfect out of 50 turns
Score 80% Avg Error 47 miles Time 428 secs |

My first try was not so good, 65% and 350secs, but as I am not living in the US I think it is reasonable.
Second try was much better (Apparently I have quite a good short term memory ;) ) 82% 308secs |
82% average 66 miles 348 seconds.
Not bad for a igloo inhabitor from Montreal who eats beaver and seal and has snow all year'round.  |
86%, 29 miles

88% 28 miles 329 seconds

47 perfect out of 50 turns, 94%, 7 miles, 360 seconds

98% correct 5 mi average error It probably also helped me that a few times in my life I have tried to draw the US map on a chalkboard from scratch. (I know, get a life). Only trouble was placing one plains state in w/o neighbors or rivers. If you miss Alaska or Hawaii, I think you should consider moving to Canada, if you can find it. One way to improve scores would be to drive across the country once, like I did with my brother. That was way cool, but would have been cooler in my e90! I was wondering why people had so much difficulty, but after I showed it to someone, I found that the order of States is somewhat important in determining how well one does. |
