My E90 has spark plug change interval set at 160,000 km. The interval on the N20 seems shockingly frequent.

If that is the case that spark plugs need to be chagned that frequently, it leads me to start thinking about if these turbo motors save the end user any money at all. Think about it... change spark plugs very often, possibly five times more often in the case of the N20 and then on top of that you have to get the intake valves cleaned every so often to maintain the performance/economy of the engine due to the Direct Injection. All this to save like 10% on fuel.
