With the m sport you have the euro pads which have more bite than the US standard pads. The pads are very good, especially when heated up, but I do agree the F30s brake feel is a bit squishier than I like. They aren't unsafe in any way and will work well when called upon. Try bedding them in properly and you'll notice an improvement in performance.
Otherwise, just swap out the pads (to hawks or pagid or something equivalent) and replace the brake lines to stainless steel. That will fix the pedal feel for sure.
