Might to also want to factor in the performance from the extra 2 clyinders in the 235i.
After a test drive of the A45 - it's 4 cylinder engine still has a little bit of lag down low (PS: epic exhaust (AMG Performance) on upshifts so hopefully BMW is watching).

I have had a couple 328i loaners, one with M-sport. I actually liked the N20 a lot. Would like to experience one with a manual. Only thing I didn't like about the 328i was the size and weight. That will be addressed with the 228i.
