Pretty much everyone I know can afford a brand new or a slightly used BMW, they choose not to because they either don't like it or think it has poor built quality
Plus the ability to afford a car has different meaning for everyone. Some pay cash, others finance, lease, etc.
I can afford to lease new M3, but I like to pay cash for my cars therefore I think M3 is not for me and i cant afford it.
