Yup, pretty much. However, the RS and the M are all a little lower than their regular counterparts, lowering their ground clearance even further.
When it comes down to it, AWD with winter tires will always give you better traction off the line than a RWD with winter tires.
When the snow gets really deep, the car just becomes a snowplow and all bets are off. Doesn't matter what car you have.
