autobild comes to the conclusion that the porsche comes close to being a true sportscar, where as the BMW is a very fast and fun to drive car for everyday driving. Taken the fact that the Cayman is way more expensive than the M235i, there is no real winner to be crowned. The Porsche definitely is built to be driven on racetracks, the BMW is suitable for everyday use. The car is equipped with a great engine and provides sporty handling which is hard to find with other cars in this category.
Pro Cayman:
- great traction (rear-engine)
- sound is more agressive (than 235i)
- excellent handling, very precise
- shifting with DKG works great
Pro M235i:
- big difference in price and running costs
- harmonic sound
- more torque at low rpm
- more suitable for daily use
