Max Wheel Size Fitment Exercise on 228i

We have our 228i in house and have started development on the soon to be born 228 Racing/World Challenge racecar. We have been playing with wheel fitment to determine the largest wheel we can fit for the track.

We pulled some Kosei K1s off one of our E36 track cars that are 8.5 wide with a +40 offset. These look pretty close to max you could run with 255s maybe 265s depending on the tire. The +40 offset is a little tight on the inner - probably 5mm or so between the tire and strut. We think the ideal is a 18x8.5 with a +35 offset which gives you 5mm more on the inner and with some camber it looks like the outer fitment will work.
