The tire and wheel insurance seems like a good plan when you see things like this, but it depends on where you live, how often/much you drive and how likely you are to be without $250 for a new tire. I paid $1000 for mine, but I am nowhere near close to making back what I paid and my lease runs out in October. I used it once for a flat, and it worked amazingly well, but I could have self insured...

Yeah that's why I'm kind of hoping that the wheel is bent or broken. I got the protection on my previous lease and only used it for a couple of touchups.
