If you didn't already have the luck of owning the E9X M3 I would easily say grab it. But since you have when it was modern I'd recommend getting the M4. It's IMO more of a mixed bag of very good and not so good but it's today's car and BMW's best car currently on sale while the E9X is flawless but it is yesterday's car.
