The issue therein lied what was "reasonable". I wanted to know what was a "reasonable" expenditure for the base salary that my GF knew about at the time.
My family as I stated before was middle/upper middle class. My mother was very, very cheap and frugal. So in contrast to my mother I felt I was spending a ton on my GF at the time. My GF grew up with drastically different standards. Since we could never come to terms, I just really wanted to know what the "reasonableness" standards was for others.

Ok that's fair but I mean if you were asking for advice back then shouldn't you have mentioned that?
It was deceptive to just list wage income in that topic when in reality you had other significant sources of income (both active and passive).
I agree I thought your GF was expecting way too much of you back then. It was killing me inside to read that, but for what it's worth I'm glad you (presumably) worked things out with her.
