Thanks for the answer. I believe 32mm will not "protrude further" because they will go deeper into the wheel-well by 2mm as this diagram illustrates:
Also I am not sure if your M135i has the same wheel-well clearance parameters as M235i. Maybe the shocks are different due to adaptive suspension ? Anyway the vendor website suggests E32 are compatible, I will email them to confirm and then take my chances.
