Why would they? Cooper 2 Door and 4 Door sales are selling more combined than the prior year. I can't speak much to the other models though. |
I understand that they take risks with niche models. X6 paid off - turns out there are folks who want what is basically a 6GC with a command driving position. X4 makes less sense to me (though I know many folks on this board love it).
Moreover, I find the existence of so many low margin mini derivatives to be counter to the argument that creating/homogenizing a much higher margin 335i/335d or M3/M5 Touring is too expensive.
