Having the option would've been nice, and I would've certainly opted for the manual, but they're taking the Porsche 991.1 GT3/GTRS stance with this, they wanted to make the most consistently fast car they could deliver and with the MDCT they get that.
Now if all us cry hard enough and wave our picket signs then you might see a manual option on a halo car down the line, see the 911R and the upcoming 911.2 GT3.
In either case, for those of us in the US, feel lucky that we're finally getting one of these cars now in a rather undiluted form, I can't even believe we're getting the cage!
The bottomline is, if you don't want this car, there are hundreds, if not thousands of people in the US waiting in line behind you.
