There's been a lot of discussion on the X5 board about this feature. So far no one has been able to access the module which controls the laser lights to code them back to euro spec. The only coding I've seen is to disable the auto stop start. |
Thanks for the post. It's unfortunate that US laws require BMW to disable these features. The technology appears to be a safer solution then simply dumbing down the lights. As I mentioned above, several drivers have already flashed their lights at me thinking I have my high-beams on. If anyone reading this thread has found a solution that works for the X7, please post it.
