That's not the first time we've heard that there are separate allocation pools for the base (MT) and Competition (AT) models.
I don't keep tabs on these details very closely, but I don't think that they do this with other current M models, do they? Someone correct me if I am wrong. Of course most models don't have an available MT anymore, but in any case I don't think there are separate allocations for base vs. Competition. Am I right? Even for the M2, where there is an MT option, I am not sure the allocations are dealt out separately based around that feature.
At any rate, assuming this is actually how it's being done, it would seem like this could explain your problem, frankiebones. Does your dealership actually have an allocation for an MT? If not, you'd at least want that to be a frank conversation, especially if they are telling you you have the "first allocation". Maybe they simply haven't received an MT allocation at all, but that seems strange unless these are in very short supply.
