Dampening is really the area that's most noticeable on the track, not springs. Most track veterans will be looking into a full coilover setup anyway.
It shouldn't HURT performance though... I went with springs to get a proper ride height while we deal with inventory shortages, shipping delays and vendors posting teasers with no ability to actually purchase the parts
