If labor (labour) isn't plentiful for whatever reason, either pay up or reinvent the business to use less labor (labour). It's not optional.
Automate, become more efficient, eliminate labor intense products or services, go offshore, the list goes on. Or just sit there and take it in the shorts and watch the competition eat your lunch.
