The fitter has been and had the diagnostics on, only a stored and not active code for a abs sensor so cleared it, checked and all seems to be fine, fingers crossed that's it all sorted now, as you say he must have had the ignition on or something. will keep an eye on it and see make sure it isn't coming back on.
