This, but only one. It was a 285 year-old tree next to our driveway, and here looooong before the houses were built. George Washington was in our area when that tree was mature, and it saw a lot of history. It was still pretty healthy, although it did have a few dead branches on it.
One calm/sunny afternoon, a dead limb fell from the tree and put a noticeable dent into the rain gutter on my Audi race car sitting in the driveway. That tree was gone in less than a week, costing me $2,500 to pay a tree crew who needed three full days to take that massive tree down.
How do I feel? Guilty enough to buy a tree farm down south as penance.....
