Correct, trans cooler is for auto. Keeping everything as cool as possible is one of the keys. I don't recommend meth injection (like a snow, etc)...want to run methanol, go with an E85 setup.
You can upgrade the clutch and pressure plate for the manual but the manual honestly is the limiting factor for the power. It cannot handle the same amount of power (hp/tq) as the auto can.
