I followed your suggestion and added the "Activate" button to my drop-down menu. So now it's just one swipe down and press to disable ASS. So much easier this way.
can't believe this... after 8 months, I never realized that the "Deactivate this" button could be added as a shortcut.
(edit: apparently this only works for X1 running vintage iDrive 8 software)
