I have done all my cars with some form of PPF since 2008. I get the bumper done, along with a foot of the front hood and the mirrors. Should be less then $1k for that. Full fenders and hood are not necessary in my opinion. I would do so even if I was certain to get rid of the car in three years. BTW, stuff lasts for about a dozen years.
