I'm reviving this thread as I had the same message appear on the 'My BMW' App as the OP, and like the OP I too went for an impromptu drive for 30 mins whereupon the message in the App turned to 'Resolved'
The odd thing is that I had recently been using the car (U10 X2 M35i) for quite lengthy distances so was surprised to see the message.
I have since had the car connected to a battery charger for over 24hrs and my charger still doesn't say the battery is fully charged.
I'm wondering
1) if my charger isn't good enough (CTEK mxs-3600) or
2) Is the battery worn out
I notice that the 'official' BMW battery charger is also a rebranded CTEK model, but is different to mine.
