I talked to my chap in Nov when I got my winters put on with some aftermarket TPMS. They don't require any specical programming as long as they are compatible. At least on iDrive 9, it then lets you switch between your winter and summer wheels with a single click which is kinda neat!
There's no OBD programming required.
