***Yea, the leather is coated and very robust. I had a similar splatter problem from the tint shop and I removed it with one of Griot's leather/interior cleaners and a microfiber towel. Once clean, I used BMW leather seat cleaner/preservative I got at the dealer.

Spots are gone now. Thank goodness as I was pretty pissed when I saw the spots!
