With OEM parts, working with a good body shop will produce the best results. I have a preferred body shop that has successfully gotten insurance to pay for OEM parts for most things that needed to be replaced. Only part from what I recall that wasn't OEM was an A/C condenser coil which I was ok with. This body shop knows the procedure and how to submit justification on getting new OEM parts.

An alternative to going to a bodyshop like this and then they have to fight with an insurance company on using OEM parts is to take your vehicle to a BMW dealer's body shop where they advertise that they only use OEM parts.
