Those are tiny chips that are zoomed in very close on a macro shot. In my opinion, sanding the edges of those tiny chips will be tough to do in such a small area without making a bigger mess. If it were my car, I would dab touch up paint in there and move on. You take 400 grit to that with your finger and you are going to turn a rock chip into a dime size patch that will be hard to deal with for the average person.
