Rent it from U-Haul with some discounts and turn it back in when finished. I wouldn't want the burden of having an empty trailer lying around since you won't be using it every week, I'm assuming.
I understand having an extra sports car or motorcycle, but an empty trailer seems boring and lifeless.
I used to rent mine from U-Haul when I used to trailer one of my sports cars to the track once in a while. It worked out okay, but it can be a lot of work either way.
Why don't you just pay the landscaping guys to haul off your excess branches and yard tree stuff instead?
I wouldn't want to deal with it but that's just me.
