Sorry, but you are incorrect.

Ex. The E90 325/330 began production in Feb. 2005, released in Europe March 2005 and was considered a 2005 MY in Europe. The US release was in May 2005 and it was considered a 2006 MY.

Lastly, The recently facelifted 5-Series which was released this past April is a 2008 MY.
