A PhD is for someone who's genuinely interested in a subject that he wouldn't mind researching for the rest of his/her life. It's about expanding the body of knowledge in that field - your thesis being only the beginning.
If you still have that thirst for learning after your masters, I'd say go for it. Hell, your masters program might allow you to continue on to do the PhD there. I know I'm considering it but I'll wait and see how my masters pans out.

yeah i guess you have a point I'm still doing my undergrad but plan on doing my masters when I'm 23 I'll be done with my undergrad when im 21 which is rather young.
