...No. We considered Ikea cabinets first but changed our minds. I think for the price, they make some of the best cabinets for the dollar. The deign and quality of their cabinet doors is top notch for the budget conscious. However, using melamine finished pressed board (MDF) for interiors is not cool if you are thinking a bit longer term than 5-7 years. They fall apart easily. We decided to spend a bit more to get solid wood interiors also - not just the doors.
The wall units at the breakfast area is an old IKEA setup we had which we had to keep for now for budgetary reasons. It will be replaced in near future hopefully with something that has a darker finish to match the kitchen cabinets. Until then, it looks OK as-is.
