Something to do with there is a valve flap that blocks the one exhaust until the pressure in the second exhaust get high enough to open it such as under more throttle. It helps with reducing noise volume at idle and low throttle. The part I don't really understand is there is also a vacuum tube involved too somehow. Maybe someone who understands it better can explain it.
