This is a common thing upon Turbo'd car.

It's called a BOOST LEAK. The best way to test it out is to do a boost leak test..meaning you disconnect the intake, and pump air directly into the turbo outlets to a certain PSI or BAR and you wait and listen for any hissing sound.

If the leak is small enough, it won't make an audible noise from inside the car. I've had this happened to me about 3 times in the year of owning the Evo.

This is where a boost gauge would come in handy as well because if you have a boost leak, the boost amount will be less than normal.
