My last real FWD experience dates from 2005 when I got Audi A4 loaner for half a year. At almost every T-junction, the car had difficulties to find grip with more torque steer and understeer as a consequence. It drove me nuts. I understand technology improved and effects are less intrusive since.

& Indeed AWD solves these issues (at an extra cost).
