My car came with iDrive9 11/2023 and boot time was reeeeeeally slow. Just brought it in for its first oil change and asked dealer to upgrade software. They tested and noted the slow boot time (my main complaint was really car play dropping calls). After upgrading to 03/2024, boot time is incredibly fast. And car play doesn’t drop.
In short, 11/2023 likely wont fix boot time or car play, but if you can get 03/2024 from your dealer you should see a difference.
