just want to chime in here... my friend has the current Google Pixel 7 Pro. During a long drive, he connected it to my X1 using Android Auto. It worked beautifully. Google Maps navigation worked much better that way than when I use Google Maps via my iPhone and CarPlay. (not that it was surprise to me, of course)
All the music apps(Pandora, YouTube Music Premium) also worked fine.
