Just to follow up on my earlier post. I have ID9 and have now driven over 500 miles connecting Android Auto by both bluetooth and wifi. No drop out at all. Before it was an absolute pain for dropping out especially when using Waze as sat nav (GPS) - I used to connect by bluetooth only. Grateful for Iggi posting the solution even if it was in relation to ID8.
