Oh I agree with you 100%

I was looking forward to an ix3 for the wife to replace her X3. When I heard it wasn't coming to US, I looked at the X3 PHEV. Then they discontinued it for 2022 in US. Leaving the X5 PHEV the only other option. But X5 is way too big for her daily commute.
Then I got excited when I heard about iX1. Was thinking about picking up 2 of them. One for the wife, and one for the oldest son who is getting his license soon.
Now iX1 isn't coming to the states.

It sounds like BMW doesn't want to compete in the small electric SUV market that everyone else seems to be getting into (MB EQB, Genesis EV60, Ford Mach-E, VW ID4, Audi Q4, KIA/Hyundai EV6/IONIC5 etc).

I'd love to see something from BMW in the X1 to X3 size, fully electric, 200-250mile range in the $50k-$60k ball park.

Can't buy i4 because it sits too low and would bottom out on my driveway (very steep). iX is too big, too powerful, too pricey.
Appreciate 2
